We Can Make: Workshops

Knowle West Media Centre and architects White Design are pioneering a community housing project called We Can Make, aiming to bring locally designed, built and lived in homes to Knowle West in South Bristol.
I collaborated with the team on a series of workshops and an exhibition exploring other community-led housing and discovering what we would bring back to Knowle West. We collaged our own house designs onto gaps in the streets, visited St Werburghs and Boiling Wells and voted with our thumbs and got together to see what was possible...
The patterns used in the collage workshop were designed from drawings by other local residents as part of my residency at Knowle West Media Centre. Find out more about that project here.
The exhibition will take place at Knowle West Media Centre in November 2018.
